about

This is a song about my great great great great grandfather who was a seaman based from Hull. He met a watery end in 1834 when, after a night's drinking in The Black Boy Inn in Hull, he left to return to his Humber sloop, The Dunn, and was blown into the Old Harbour and drowned. When he was pulled out the next day, his body was taken straight back to the pub.
