Rudston monolith is the tallest standing stone in Britain. Erected over 4000 years ago, it stands beside the church in the tiny Yorkshire Wolds village of Rudston in an ancient, mystical landscape full of barrows, cursuses and monuments, in a corner where the Gypsey Race stream suddenly turns from flowing south to flowing east to the sea.
